What this page covers

Hosting platforms need predictable public addressing for customer servers, gateways, control-plane services, and dedicated-address upgrades. Leasing larger prefixes can give a provider a cleaner allocation model than sourcing individual addresses as demand appears.

Best fit

When this option makes sense.

Size address space around the network you actually operate, then leave deliberate room for growth and operational separation.

03

Infrastructure teams that want separable customer pools and central registry/routing control

Plan the deployment

Allocate by node, rack, location, or product

A hosting provider should be able to answer where each customer IP came from and which platform owns the route. Allocate pools according to your operational boundaries, then leave enough reserve for migrations and failed nodes.

Route it deliberately

Route directly or bundle with LogicWeb infrastructure

Use an LOA to originate leased space from your own hosting network, or use eligible LogicWeb server routing when the deployment lives on LogicWeb infrastructure. Either model should keep the origin ASN, IRR, RPKI, and rDNS plan consistent.

Operate it well

Make reverse DNS part of provisioning

Dedicated IP customers often need PTR records for mail, APIs, monitoring, and service identity. Define whether your platform delegates rDNS to customers or manages PTR changes centrally before you automate provisioning.

Lease operations

Infrastructure around the prefix matters too.

Exact support depends on address family, prefix, registry, and deployment. Confirm the final order details before routing production traffic.

Same-day LOA

Authorization is normally emailed during sales hours after payment and order checks.

WHOIS / SWIP

Company details and updates are included for eligible /24 and larger allocations.

Geolocation updates

Request a city and country when ordering or through a support ticket.

IRR & RPKI / ROA

Route objects and origin authorizations through ARIN or RIPE where supported by the block.

Reverse DNS

Delegate reverse DNS to your nameservers or request hosted PTR records. The published minimum is /24.

Optional rotation

The published option costs $25 per /24 per month. Confirm suitability and availability with sales.

Keep the use attributable and policy-compliant.Leased address space remains subject to LogicWeb’s IP Leasing Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Larger pools increase the importance of customer attribution, complaint handling, and clean routing records.Read the IP Leasing Policy

Before you order

Common questions.

Can I assign leased addresses to customer VPS instances?

That depends on your routing design, customer terms, and LogicWeb’s policies. Keep customer attribution and abuse handling in place for every assigned address.

Can LogicWeb route a prefix to a server?

Yes. LogicWeb publishes bundled routing for /24 or larger with eligible VPS or dedicated servers.

What size should a small hosting provider start with?

A /24 gives 256 addresses and is a common first routed block. A /22 or larger may fit once you have multiple nodes, products, or locations to separate.

From planning to production

Need address space for this workload?

LogicWeb publishes IPv4 /24 through /18 and IPv6 /48, /32, and /29 lease options with routing and registry support.
