IP geolocation management

Geolocated IPv4 Blocks

Request city and country geolocation updates for leased IPv4 space and track how third-party databases propagate location changes.

What this page covers

IP geolocation is database information associated with an address—not a GPS coordinate embedded in the IP. LogicWeb accepts city and country requests for leased space and works with supported databases, while each third party controls its own records and update timing.

Best fit

When this option makes sense.

Size address space around the network you actually operate, then leave deliberate room for growth and operational separation.

01

VPN and network services where users expect a consistent location label

02

Hosting and SaaS platforms that need location-aware egress

03

Organizations moving a prefix and correcting stale database records

Plan the deployment

Routing location and geolocation are separate

A prefix can be routed in one place while a database still reports an older location. Some providers use routing evidence, registry data, geofeeds, operator submissions, commercial observations, or a combination of signals.

Route it deliberately

Request the location before launch when possible

If the desired city and country are known, include them during ordering so registry and geolocation work can begin before production traffic depends on the new location. Then verify the specific databases your application or customers use.

Operate it well

Track propagation instead of assuming it

Databases update on different schedules and can disagree. Use the LogicWeb geolocation tracker to record which providers have updated and when, and use live third-party lookup tools to confirm the actual result.

Lease operations

Infrastructure around the prefix matters too.

Exact support depends on address family, prefix, registry, and deployment. Confirm the final order details before routing production traffic.

Same-day LOA

Authorization is normally emailed during sales hours after payment and order checks.

WHOIS / SWIP

Company details and updates are included for eligible /24 and larger allocations.

Geolocation updates

Request a city and country when ordering or through a support ticket.

IRR & RPKI / ROA

Route objects and origin authorizations through ARIN or RIPE where supported by the block.

Reverse DNS

Delegate reverse DNS to your nameservers or request hosted PTR records. The published minimum is /24.

Optional rotation

The published option costs $25 per /24 per month. Confirm suitability and availability with sales.

Keep the use attributable and policy-compliant.Leased address space remains subject to LogicWeb’s IP Leasing Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Larger pools increase the importance of customer attribution, complaint handling, and clean routing records.Read the IP Leasing Policy

Before you order

Common questions.

Can LogicWeb guarantee every geolocation database?

No. LogicWeb can submit or support updates, but third-party providers control their own datasets, timing, and final classifications.

How long do geolocation changes take?

LogicWeb’s published IP leasing FAQ says to allow approximately seven days for partner database updates, but individual providers can differ.

Does geolocation change where traffic physically routes?

No. Geolocation records and physical/BGP routing are separate. Some databases may use routing location as one of their signals.

From planning to production

Need address space for this workload?

LogicWeb publishes IPv4 /24 through /18 and IPv6 /48, /32, and /29 lease options with routing and registry support.
