IPv4 Scarcity Dashboard
Review IPv4 supply constraints, buffered purchase-price planning ranges, registry activity, transfer signals, and LogicWeb inventory in one dated dashboard.
Snapshot · September 29, 2026
IPv4 supply is constrained, but the market still moves.
The dashboard separates registry scarcity, transfer activity, and LogicWeb inventory.
Regional Internet registries continue to publish completed IPv4 transfers as organizations buy, sell, and reorganize address holdings.
View sourceLogicWeb publishes an inventory of more than 500,000 IPv4 addresses for leasing, subject to current order checks and availability.

Smaller routable blocks tend to carry a premium.
The planning display below applies a 20% buffer to the cited public purchase-price ranges by prefix size. It is a dated observation, not a live bid/ask feed.
Planning display: the purchase-price ranges above are shown 20% above the cited source benchmark. The /24 premium reflects the operational usefulness and liquidity of the smallest commonly routed IPv4 block. Exact transaction pricing varies.
Why scarcity persists
The protocol has a fixed 32-bit address field.
IPv4 has 232 possible addresses—about 4.29 billion before reserved and special-use ranges. Regional registries have long since moved from abundant free-pool allocation to constrained recovery, waiting-list, transfer, and policy mechanisms.
- New demand still comes from hosting, cloud, VPN, proxy, ISP, security, and network infrastructure.
- IPv6 adoption grows, but dual-stack networks still need IPv4 to reach the full Internet.
- Clean routing history and reputation can affect a block’s practical value.
- Prefix size changes the buyer pool and the per-address economics.
- Leasing turns a large capital purchase into a recurring operating expense.
